About the Author

Kevin McGowin completed his graduate studies at the University of Florida, and taught English at the College level for 10 years before retiring to devote himself to writing full time. He has lived in Birmingham, Micanopy, Florida, Denver, Raleigh, New Hampshire and most recently New Orleans, the setting for his award-winning novel Town Full of Hoors, for which he was recognized in the Gambit Weekly's annual 40 Under 40.

McGowin is the author of three published novels, a novella, The Basement, a collection of poems, The Better Part of a Fortnight, as well as numerous short stories in such publications as Eclectica and 3 AM, which make up his upcoming collection, All That and Then Some. He has been a Contributing Editor to Oyster Boy Review for many years, and his reviews and essays continue to appear within its pages and elsewhere.
